Surrey Massage Clinic is owned by Danielle Weaver MFHT who has been practicing as a massage therapist since 2003 and set up in Dorking in 2006.
Danielle Weaver MFHT
Danielle qualified in 2003 with ITEC and further qualified in Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Hot and Cold Stone Massage, Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Indian Head Massage, Reiki and Thai Foot Massage.
In 2017 she completed the Advanced Myofascial Release qualification which combines the work of John Barnes, Tom Myers and the late, great Ida Rolf, offering structural integration treatments that have proved to be extremely successful.
Aside from bodywork, Danielle's passion is yoga and she is currently training to be a Hatha Yoga Teacher.
In her early career, she gained valuable experience working alongside Senior Physiotherapists at Dorking Physiotherapy Clinic & Head2Toe Physio and has built up a successful and thriving practice bringing in the best therapists in the area to offer more appointments to clients at all times.
Over the years, she has worked with clients who have a wide range of conditions from professional and keen sports people, back pain sufferers, chronically ill and brain injury patients, MS, fibromyalgia, depression and anxiety using a range of techniques from myofascial release to trigger points.
Tanya is qualified Level 5 BTEC in Sports and Remedial Massage from the well respected London School of Sports Massage. She has worked with Godalming Town Football Club as well as providing pre and post event treatments at running, cycling and triathlon events.
Her passion for making a career of Sports & Remedial massage follows her own active sporting career in rowing and running. It was here that she appreciated the benefit in sport and everyday activities for massage in modern day working and leisure environments.
Tanya is a full member of the Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage
Samuel is qualified in ITEC level 3 Sports Massage is currently continuing his studies in BSc Hons Sports therapy at Nescot.
In between working at SMC and his studying, Sam's passion is his kickboxing as he is 2015 British champion and bronze medalist at the world championships, thus having a wealth of understanding, knowledge and experience in physical training and sport.
Jennifer is currently studying her BSc hons in Sports therapy at Nescot after achieved her foundation degree in the same discipline.
Having been a personal trainer since 2010 and more recently committed to Crossfit since 2014. Jennifer has gained an awareness about important strength and flexibility are in everyday life.
She strives to impart this knowledge onto clients and integrates mobility and flexibility exercises into her treatment sessions; so to empower their understanding and impact in daily life and training.
Abby Attwood ACMT
Abby first qualified in 2005 with VTCT in Swedish Massage, and more recently graduated in Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy with the well respected Jing Institute.
She uses a combination of advanced massage techniques such as deep tissue massage, myofascial release, soft tissue release, stretching and trigger point therapy all of which offers effective relief for pain conditions such as back problems, sciatica, herniated disc, frozen shoulder, TMJ pain, sporting injury, headaches, RSI and osteoarthritis.
Abby is also qualified in Indian Head Massage and Accupressure which she can incorporate into her clinical massages.
Elise Peart (currently on maternity leave)
Elise Peart is a keen sports woman and studied at Plymouth University where she did a foundation degree in Sports Coaching and Therapy in 2004- 2006, then went on to do a top-up degree in Health and Fitness. After graduating in 2007, Elise then carried on her studies at St. Mary's University College in Twickenham where she qualified with ITEC level 3 Diplomas in Holistic Massage in 2008 and then went on to study Sports Massage qualifying in 2009. During this course she did work experience at the Harlequins Rugby Club.
Elise made the decision to pursue a full time career in Massage in December 2012 and has not looked back since, proving to be popular with clients and a valuable member of our team
