Surrey Massage Clinic is owned by Danielle Weaver MFHT who has been practicing as a massage therapist since 2003 and set up in Dorking in 2006.
Danielle Weaver MFHT
Having a major career change and qualifying in 2003 with ITEC, Danielle has since gone on to further qualify in Deep Tissue Massage, Advanced Myofascial Release (Jing Institute), Hot and Cold Stone Massage, Advanced Clinical Massage in Lower Back and Wrist and Forearm (Jing Institute) and Advanced Muscular Skeletal Anatomy (Jing Institute) and Fascial Manipulation of the nerves (Fascial Insititure of Australia).
Having gained valuable experience working alongside Senior Physiotherapists in her earlier career, she has further trained over the years to create her own style which is tailored to her clients needs. She is passionate about empowering clients to improve their wellbeing.
Abby Attwood ACMT
Abby first qualified in 2005 with VTCT in Swedish Massage, and more recently graduated in Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy with the well respected Jing Institute.
She uses a combination of advanced massage techniques such as deep tissue massage, myofascial release, soft tissue release, stretching and trigger point therapy all of which offers effective relief for pain conditions such as back problems, sciatica, herniated disc, frozen shoulder, TMJ pain, sporting injury, headaches, RSI and osteoarthritis.
Abby is also qualified in Indian Head Massage and Accupressure which she can incorporate into her clinical massages.
Jen has developed her ability to support and empower clients to take responsibility for their health and wellbeing throughout her personal training career thus far. With over 6 years’ worth of experience in coaching numerous clients from both sporting and non-sporting backgrounds, she has made a natural transition into the realms of Sports Therapy. Having achieved a First Class Hons Degree in Sports Therapy, she now aims to help clients in their pursuit of optimal movement and injury rehabilitation. Jen strives to enhance her knowledge through exposure to different clients, from sports people to desk bound individuals. Following a Crossfit and climbing program has reinforced Jen’s approach of promoting effective recovery using exercise prescription as well as other treatment techniques that include massage, soft tissue release, trigger point therapy and kinesiology taping.
Zuzana Young ACMT
Having met and studied with Zuzana on the Advanced Myofascial Release course in 2017, I was more than pleased when she wanted to join our team in Dorking. Zuzana completed her BTEC Level 6 Clinical and Sports Massage in December 2018 with the well respected JING college, which is the highest massage qualification in the UK.
She is also qualified in Hot Stone fusion Massage (for clinical application), Advanced Myofascial Release, Fascial manipulation for the nerves and TMJ pain.
As a body worker, Zuzana specialises in treating acute and chronic conditions having built an extensive database of clients. She combines all the advanced massage techniques and her knowledge to tailor an appropriate protocol to help with a variety of conditions.
Elise Peart is a keen sports woman and studied at Plymouth University where she did a foundation degree in Sports Coaching and Therapy in 2004- 2006, then went on to do a top-up degree in Health and Fitness. After graduating in 2007, Elise then carried on her studies at St. Mary's University College in Twickenham where she qualified with ITEC level 3 Diplomas in Holistic Massage in 2008 and then went on to study Sports Massage qualifying in 2009. During this course she did work experience at the Harlequins Rugby Club.
Elise made the decision to pursue a full time career in Massage in December 2012 and has not looked back since, proving to be popular with clients and a valuable member of our team
Tanya is qualified Level 5 BTEC in Sports and Remedial Massage from the well respected London School of Sports Massage. She has worked with Godalming Town Football Club as well as providing pre and post event treatments at running, cycling and triathlon events.
Her passion for making a career of Sports & Remedial massage follows her own active sporting career in rowing and running. It was here that she appreciated the benefit in sport and everyday activities for massage in modern day working and leisure environments.
